Using the Screen record on an iPhone is a great way to capture what’s happening on your device’s screen, whether it’s a video call, a tutorial, or a gameplay session. In this article, we will see the uses, disadvantages, and even how you can actually screen-record on your iPhone. I’m assuming you already have an iPhone at hand because otherwise, this is not going to be a helpful article, I might afraid.

  • Pressing the plus button before starting the recording will enable you to draw or add text to the screen recording.
  • Swipe left on the red status bar to reveal an option to “Stop” or “Discard” the recording.

Downsides of screen recording your iPhone

There are several downsides to screen recording on an iPhone:

  1. Battery drain: Screen recording can be resource-intensive, and it can drain your iPhone’s battery quickly.
  2. Storage space: Screen recording creates large video files, which can take up a lot of storage space on your iPhone.
  3. Privacy concerns: Screen recording captures everything that appears on your iPhone’s screen, including sensitive information such as passwords and personal data.
  4. Interruptions: Screen recording can be interrupted by notifications or incoming calls, which can disrupt the recording.
  5. Risk of breaking the terms of service of certain apps, as it may be prohibited by some apps.

So, I’d caution against anybody using the feature responsibly because it can lead you to do some weird places if you are not careful.

With these simple steps, you’ll be able to easily record your iPhone’s screen, whether it’s to capture a video call, tutorial, or gameplay session.
